Provider member organisation the Aged Care Industry Association has appointed aged care executive Mark Brandon as chair and former bureaucrat Peter Hoppo as chief executive officer. Mr Brandon is Estia Health’s executive advisor, policy and advocacy. His previous roles include CEO of former aged care regulator Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency from 2002 to 2013 and senior executive positions with Medibank Private and Medicare. He takes over from ACIA chair Viv Padman, who stepped down after completing his three-year term. Mr Hoppo was appointed CEO in September following the departure of Luke Westenberg who resigned to take up a role in the community housing sector.
