A man has pleaded not guilty to touching a female ambulance paramedic’s crotch while he was being treated in the back of an ambulance on the northern beaches. John Michael Murgatroyd, 65, of Narraweena, faced a charge in Manly Local Court on Wednesday of sexually touch another person without consent. Police will allege that between 2.40pm and 3.30pm on December 12 last year Mr Murgatroyd twice used the back of his hand to push against the paramedic’s crotch. It will be alleged that Mr Murgatroyd was lying in the back of an ambulance parked in Ronald Ave, Narraweena when the alleged offence occurred. Police said the paramedic was examining him and conducting a number of tests at the time. The ambulance had been called by a relative of Mr Murgatroyd who found him passed out near his home. Registrar Michael Barbour adjourned the matter to Manly Local Court on April 16. Mr Murgatroyd’s bail continues.
