Industry superannuation giant Aware Super has poached one of rival HESTA’s top brass as part of an executive restructure aimed at better integrating its financial advice and customer service offerings. HESTA chief financial officer Sally Collins will take up an expanded chief operating officer role at Aware in mid-April, less than two years after she joined the nursing and healthcare services fund. Current COO Jo Brennan will also move into the new role of group executive of member engagement and advice under the restructure. Current group executive of member growth Steve Travis’ role will increase to focus more on acquisition, growth and mergers. And current chief of staff Katrina McPhee will head a new communications and advocacy team, while outgoing CFO Tim Elliott will leave the fund after 11-plus years.
